Are you new to working out and feeling unsure about how to use the equipment or what exercises to start with? We understand that beginning a fitness journey can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming. At CrossFit North Harbour, we’re here to make your start as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Here’s how we can help you get going:
1. Not Sure How to Use the Equipment?
No worries! When you’re new to the gym, it’s completely normal to feel a bit uncertain about using the equipment. That’s why we offer Foundation Classes specifically designed to introduce you to the basics of CrossFit in a safe and controlled environment. Our experienced coaches will walk you through each movement, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable before jumping into regular classes.
2. Are There Beginner-Friendly Exercises?
Absolutely! CrossFit is all about scaling workouts to match your fitness level. Whether you’re just starting out or returning after a break, we tailor exercises to ensure they are effective yet manageable. Some beginner-friendly exercises you might encounter include:
- Bodyweight Movements: Squats, lunges, push-ups, and sit-ups
- Simple Cardio: Rowing or cycling at a comfortable pace
- Introductory Strength Training: Using lighter weights or resistance bands to build foundational strength
Our workouts are designed to be inclusive, so you’ll be progressing at a pace that suits you.
3. Should I Hire a Personal Trainer?
While personal trainers can provide valuable one-on-one guidance, we offer a fantastic alternative with our Foundation Classes. These classes provide personalised instruction, giving you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and ask questions. However, if you feel you need extra attention, we also offer personal training.
Remember, starting a new workout routine is a journey, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need more personalised advice, don’t hesitate to reach out or click [here] to book a free consultation with one of our coaches.
We can’t wait to see you in the gym and help you achieve your fitness goals!
