WHAT TO REALLY EXPECT WHEN STARTING CROSSFIT

When you hear the word CrossFit mentioned, most likely multiple images of big hulk like men and super ripped muscly females are the first things that come to mind. This can be off putting and the truth is, this couldn’t be further from what really happens at our CrossFit Box. Most members have joined because they have come to a point in life when they have realised they aren’t looking after their health and want to make a change.

CrossFit is simply a fitness program designed to make you fitter, faster and stronger. This means that CrossFit isn’t designed to get you better at one skill or component of fitness alone, instead, it’s engineered to help you develop multiple skills and strengths at varying levels of intensity and time. We like to see improvement in all aspects of fitness such as speed, flexibility, power, agility, stamina, strength, accuracy, coordination, endurance & balance. All these aspects combined will create a well rounded fitness that enables you to do what you love to do.

A CrossFit Box differs a lot from a globo gym. Instead of a jungle of exercise machines, you will find a small array of barbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, bumper plates and pullup bars. Along with this, you will belong to a friendly community of like minded people who are supportive and encouraging to see you do your best and will celebrate with you when your achieving your goals. Our small group training sessions with highly experienced Coach’s are what breeds results and success.

Our community is filled with members of all ages, shapes and sizes from different walks of life that share the same common goal of improving their quality of life. Everyone of these members had to make the decision to make a start and have no regrets. So if improving your fitness and quality of lifestyle sounds like a good deal, your first step on that journey is to come in for a free trial session. At this session, nothing scary will happen, we want to meet you, find out a bit about you, what your goals are and take you through a fun workout with a couple of others that are after the same thing. Our Coaches will invest time to coach you through each and every movement to create an environment that you feel supported in.

After your first session, the following sessions will focus on learning and familiarising you with the movements we commonly use and slowly increasing the intensity of the workouts which will bring the the results your after.

It’s really that simple. You turn up, put some effort in while having fun and the result is a fitter and healthier you. Come along to one of our Free Trial Sessions on:
